Colorado director of prisons resigns after 4 months on the job

DENVER — The CALL7 Investigators have confirmed the Director of Prisons for the Colorado Department of Corrections has resigned after just four months on the job.

In an email sent to DOC employees just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday and obtained by CALL7 Investigator Theresa Marchetta, Mark Flowers said:

“All, I will be resigning today. I appreciate all that you have done and will continue to do. Thank you for accepting me as your Director, but today will be my last day. Stay professional.”
