SAN ANTONIO — Three Bexar County Jail deputies received minor injuries while removing an inmate from a ceiling during an attempted escape.
Thomas Trevino, 34, was reported missing Wednesday morning, KSAT reported. Less than 15 minutes later, Trevino was discovered in the ceiling above his jail infirmary cell.
Three deputies received minor injuries while removing Trevino from the ceiling, according to the news station.
Trevino was originally charged with two counts of assault and a controlled substance charge. He faces additional charges including attempted escape and assaulting a public servant.
