JUNEAU — Alaska State Troopers are investigating an incident during which they say an inmate bit two correctional officers at a Juneau prison Sunday morning.
Troopers wrote in a Sunday dispatch that they were informed of the incident, at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center, just before 8:30 a.m.
“Investigation revealed an inmate bit two correctional officers in a cell at LCCC,” troopers wrote. “The correctional officers were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.”
Troopers forwarded fourth-degree assault charges against the inmate, who wasn’t identified in the dispatch, to the Juneau district attorney’s office.
