GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Jaclynn Rodriguez went face-to-face Thursday with the inmate who tried to kill her for the first time since September of last year.
It was a much safer environment this time. Willie Lee Wilson Williams was guarded by several Kent County Court deputies.
“You were already in deep and you dug yourself deeper. You are a coward for what you have done,” Rodriquez told William as he awaited sentencing.
Circuit Court Judge Mark Trusock had more harsh words for Williams, who refused to be in the courtroom during his trial in July.
“I do not believe that you know the difference between right and wrong. And if you do, you don’t care what the difference is,” Trusock said as he prepared to impose a long sentence on Williams.
