LAND O’LAKES — A jail inmate is facing an attempted murder charge after deputies say he tried to choke a Pasco Sheriff’s deputy with his handcuffs.
According to reports, Joshua Patrick Moore, 21, threatened a deputy verbally Aug. 1. Moore grabbed the deputy’s shirt collar and thrust the chain of his handcuffs up against the deputy’s throat.
The deputy wrestled Moore to the floor, according to reports, but Moore was able to swing both his fists into the thigh and chest of another deputy trying to subdue him.
