HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio — An inmate accused of stabbing three corrections officers with a shank is facing up to an additional 71 years in prison.
Cornelius Harris is already serving a long sentence at the Ohio State Penitentiary on robbery and kidnapping charges, according to WYTV. That time will be added to if he’s convicted in his latest case, where he’s charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault for stabbing officers while they were trying to remove him from his cell three years ago.
This isn’t the first run-in Harris has had with prison staff — in another incident, he was charged with punching a corrections officer and pushing him down a flight of stairs.
