Inmate may be charged for kicking Pa. CO

The investigation is ongoing, however, charges are pending against the inmate

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — State police at Rockview are investigating an incident that took place between an inmate and guard at Rockview state prison.

On Dec. 11, at about 9:10 p.m., an inmate “attempted to fall down a flight of stairs while being transported by the victim,” a corrections officer at the facility, according to a police release.

The release says, “while the victim attempted to prevent” the inmate, named “suspect” in the press release, “from falling down additional stairs, the suspect kicked the officer in the wrist.”

The investigation is ongoing, however, charges are pending against the inmate.
