JUNEAU – A 33-year-old inmate at Waupun Correctional Institution was sentenced to an additional year of incarceration after being convicted of causing two corrections officers to be treated for exposure to the AIDS virus and throwing urine at officers.
David Czapiewski pleaded guilty to two counts of throwing or expelling bodily fluids.
Judge Steven Bauer sentenced him to one year of incarceration and one year of extended supervision consecutive to any other sentence. He is currently serving a sentence from a 2005 Milwaukee County case, where he was sentenced to 20 years of initial confinement and 10 years of extended supervision for first degree reckless injury and first degree recklessly endangering safety.
