ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — A Chillicothe Correctional Center inmate has been charged with committing violence against employees of the Department of Corrections.
Missouri Department of Corrections Investigator Tonya Youngs alleges in a probable cause statement that Felicia Hobbs attacked several officers and two nurses.
Ms. Hobbs allegedly kicked a nurse while being examined for injuries.
She had been observed striking a security camera in the facility with her fist and head. She told the nurse she wasn’t suicidal and then kicked her in the right thigh, resulting in a bruise.
While being moved from a restraining chair later that day, Ms. Hobbs kicked one officer in the face guard and another in the shin guard as they removed her leg restraints. When a nurse entered later to check on Ms. Hobbs, she spat on the nurse striking her left shoulder.
She was originally sentenced to three years for domestic assault and armed criminal action.
