STILLWATER, Okla. — A Cimarron Correctional Facility inmate has been handed an additional two years for attacking a female correctional officer.
KUSH reports that Corey Antoine Hightower, a convicted sex offender, pleaded guilty earlier this month to assault and battery on a correctional officer on April 24.
The officer reported that she had been attacked while serving lunch to inmates in April. Hightower grabbed her duty belt through the food port in his cell door and pulled her back against the door.
The officer said that “she attempted to release herself from Hightower’s hold and was punched twice by his free hand in her side.”
The officer was eventually able to release Hightower’s hold, though KUSH did not report how. She left the scene to be evaluated by medical and was eventually taken to a clinic outside the prison.
The facility supplied video of the incident.
Hightower is currently serving a 5-year term for larceny; once that is complete, he will begin a 11-year term for forcible oral sodomy. He must then serve a 3-year term for indecent exposure.
