MONTESANO, Wash. — A 16-year-old accused of fatally stabbing Corrections Officer Jon Favro has plead guilty to the charge.
Teddy Bryan admitted Thursday in court that he stabbed Favro, but said that he did not intend to kill him, according to Komonews.
The two had argued over a girl at a party on July 14. Favro had been parked with the young woman when Bryan punched and stabbed him. Favro then drove off and crashed into a rocky embankment, then ran away from the wreckage only to succumb to his injuries in a nearby back alley.
The prosecutor is asking for a maximum sentence of 18 years.
