LAS VEGAS – Former Las Vegas corrections officer Derland Blake has entered a guilty plea to the charge of smuggling cell phones into High Desert State Prison.
CBS News reports that Blake made a deal to plead guilty to a single count of bribery if other charges against him were dropped. He took a bribe to smuggle phones, alcohol and other contraband into the prison.
One of the cell phones went to accused Las Vegas Strip shooter Amar Harris.
