FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A crash involving a Fulton County Sheriff’s Department vehicle caused major delays on Interstate 75 Friday morning.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, an inmate was injured when a sheriff’s office cruiser crashed on I-75 northbound near Moores Mill Road around 6:35 a.m.
“A Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Ford Crown Victoria was northbound on 75 in the HOV lane when the vehicle struck another passenger vehicle to its right. The second vehicle hit a vehicle to its right. The patrol car hit the right shoulder wall and re-entered the travel lanes and hit the fourth vehicle,” GSP said.
A female deputy and the inmate were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Sheriff’s Department said the deputy is OK.
