Bullard and Opgal Optronics Provide TacSight Thermal Imaging Cameras for European Border Control

Cynthiana, Kentucky and Karmiel, Israel – Bringing the latest technology to law enforcement and border control, 157 thermal imaging cameras are joining the front lines against criminal activity and illegal immigration in the European Union. The Hungarian National Command of the Border Guard and the Hungarian National Police, under the auspices of the Hungarian Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement, recently purchased 157 Bullard brand TacSight SE35 cameras, a co-developed product by Bullard and Opgal Optronics Industries. The purchase was financed through the Schengan Fund in an effort to improve border control and reduce illegal immigration into that nation.

The Schengan Fund, created after 30 countries signed the Schengan Agreement in 1985, focuses on preparing signatory countries for the effective protection of the European Union borders and national security.

Based on technical capabilities and a feature set designed specifically for law enforcement applications, the Bullard TacSight SE35 was chosen as the innovative tool to help control borders by the Hungarian authorities.
