PATOS, Brazil — A cat was recently caught on prison grounds with contraband strapped to its body.

The Daily Star reports that the cat was found at Presidio Regional Romero Nobrega with mobile phones, hand-made phone charges and SIM cards from four different networks strapped to it.

The cat was first spotted with plasters all over its body and attempting to get through a chain link fence that allows access to a patio inside the facility.

The contraband was strapped to the cat using plasters, gauze and masking tape under an artificial fur-covered cloak.

Cats wander in and out of the complex regularly, according to one officer. After this discovery, however, all cats will now be inspected as they go in and out of the facility. They are currently attempting to discern if it’s the inmates themselves who are training the cats.
