BILLINGS, Mont. — Authorities are looking for a man who threw a cup of hot chocolate in a convenience store clerk’s face in Billings before taking money from the cash register.
Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Deputy Cliff Mahoney says the man poured a cup of hot chocolate at a Zip Trip store on Shiloh Road at about 8:30 p.m. Friday. The man put money on the counter and splashed the clerk’s face with the cocoa when she opened the register.
Mahoney says the clerk suffered “superficial burns” but did not require medical treatment.
The Billings Gazette reports that the robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash in a red Ford pickup truck with a mismatched topper on the back. He is described as in his mid-20s, white and about 5-foot-8 with a skinny build and dark hair.
The man was last seen wearing a baggy shirt, shorts and a baseball cap. He also has dark tattoos on his calves.
