GREEN BAY, Wis. — An inmate at the Green Bay Correctional Institution has been charged with threatening President Obama.
Authorities say Nikko Krohn, 21, allegedly mailed the death threat to the president in February. They say the letter was received by the White House’s correspondence office and did not reach Obama.
The case was investigated by the United States Secret Service.
Krohn is currently serving a sentence for a 2007 robbery in Wood County.
Krohn is scheduled to appear in federal court on Tuesday. If convicted he faces a maximum of 5 years in prison.
