LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Wendy Kelley has been named as the new director of the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
My Monticello News reports that Kelley currently serves as the chief deputy director of the DOC, and is the first female to serve in the role. She has also served as the director for health and correctional programs from 2006 to 2013.
She will replace Ray Hobbs, who retired Nov. 1.
