NEW YORK — Well, he won’t have to break into prison now.
Convicted sex offender Matthew Matagrano, 36, yesterday pleaded guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court to posing as a correction officer and sneaking into the Manhattan Detention Complex.
During his seven-hour escapade on Feb. 27, the Yonkers resident sexually assaulted an inmate, stole a $2,500 walkie-talkie and handed out cigarettes as he strolled, unfettered, through the White Street facility, a k a The Tombs. He faces 10 years behind bars.
