KINGSTON, NY — A juvenile inmate at the Ulster County Jail has been arrested for folding a metal lid into a weapon.

Inmate Brandon Gantt is now facing a felony charge of promoting prison contraband and a misdemeanor weapons possession charge, according to The Record.

State police say the metal lid could have been used as a shiv. There was no information on how Gantt got the lid.
