PRETORIA, South Africa — A Playboy model had her day in court Tuesday after allegedly planning to help her Czech mobster boyfriend, and prison mate of former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, escape from a Pretoria prison.

Marissa Christopher was reportedly a part of a $15 million scheme that involved corrupt officials and a planned storming of the prison by an armed gang. Forensic Investigator Paul O’Sullivan told News24 that Christopher helped with plans to arrange a helicopter for her and boyfriend Radovan Krejcir’s escape.

According to allAfrica.com, the plan was discovered when guard uniforms, guns, ammunition, and blueprints of the jailhouse were found during a raid on Krejcir’s cell in March.

Christopher was detained by police as she arrived to visit Krejcir in prison Friday.

At his former prison, Zonderwater, officers took apart Krejcir’s treadmill and found a 9mm handgun taped inside. A knife, TASER, pepper spray, blades, 10 mobile phones and SIM cards were also found in his cell, O’ Sullivan told News24.

The plot was his fourth known attempt to escape and involved members of his family and government officials as well.

Along with other charges, Krejcir is serving 35 years for attempted murder, kidnapping, attempted drug dealing, and attempted assassination of state witnesses.
