Defense tries to discredit Tavon White testimony
Propose that White is only trying to get a good deal with federal officials

BALTIMORE — The defense for the Maryland Department of Corrections is aiming to poke holes in the testimony of the prosecution’s key witness: inmate Tavon White.
WBAL TV reports that they propose that White is only trying to get a good deal with federal officials, rather than telling the truth about what went on inside the correctional facility.
White’s plea agreement requires him to testify truthfully, and if he does so, he would get a 12-year federal prison sentence.
White did indicate that he was worried about getting more prison time.
