SCRANTON, Pa. — A group of two dozen bicyclists called Law Enforcement United rode through Scranton to offer healing to the family of slain CO Eric Williams.

According to PA Homepage, the group is composed of police officers and loved ones of those killed in the line of duty. They’re riding on bikes and making stops at a number of police departments in the northeast.

“It’s not so much a bike ride, but it’s to be able to give back and remember the good times,” said Crystal Peterson, one of the riders.

Peterson’s uncle was killed while on duty as a police officer in Minnesota. The Williams family says they’ve found another family they didn’t know they had.

“They’re been a true brotherhood,” said Jean Williams, Eric’s mother. “They really stick together and they’ve been there for us. This is just an example of them standing by their own.”

The group finished their ride in Washington D.C. at the Fallen Troopers Memorial on May 12.
