NEWQUAY — A smuggler’s attempts to get contraband into a UK prison were foiled when the package he threw over a wall nearly struck a corrections officer in the head.
According to This Is Cornwall, Ashleigh Pauls joined his con-conspirators behind bars when his fingerprints were found on the pooper-scooper bags used to wrap six phones and a small amount of skunk cannabis.
A patrol officer making his rounds was nearly hit in the head as the contraband package landed just behind him. Pauls was given nine months in jail.
