BECKLEY, W. Va. — A nurse working at the Federal Correctional Institute in Beckley was incited Wednesday and charged with tampering with an informant.

The West Virginia Gazette reports that Scotty Rose allegedly told an inmate that another inmate inside the prison was wearing a recording device and working for the FBI.

After Rose told the inmate, the informant was repeatedly confronted by other inmates about working with the FBI and had to be placed in separate housing.

Federal agents working with the informant had to terminate their investigation.
