In this video, Joe Willis highlights the importance of cultural diversity training for law enforcement officers. The main purpose of training is to instill a sense of community no matter where you are. Throughout his trainings, he is sure to develop the program based off of the neighborhoods through personal communication and relationship building. Although each training session is unique, each circuit defines “implicit bias”, promotes the courage to implement these practices, as well as generate a total buy-in from top to bottom.
