LANCASTER, Pa. — Two Lancaster County Corrections officers were fired after the recent suicides of two inmates at the prison.

FOX news reports that the disciplinary action followed an investigation into the deaths of Zachary Keifer and Michael Lausell.

County Commissioner Scott Martin said there would be no further comment on the personnel actions, but also added that the prison’s 200 corrections officers do a fantastic job on a daily basis.

The county prison board is continuing to look at its policies and procedures and whether they are being implemented correctly or being reported.
