HOUSTON, Texas — A man accused of threatening police in a bizarre fashion has found himself behind bars.
Click2Houston reports that Andrew Lee Stitt dropped off a bag of bananas along with a greeting card at the Dickinson Police Department. The card read “gangster apes. Cheer up chimps’ lunch is one [sic] me.”
Inside the card was another message: “But as the World knows..such is the discarded gene pool for that reason. Wishing you the best for this sleighing ‘C’ son.”
Before he dropped off the strange package, Stitt acted oddly around officers having lunch at a nearby restaurant. He made comments such as “got to love the smell of bacon in the morning,” and made threatening motions as though he were firing a gun at each of the officers.
All of these were enough to bring charges against Stitt.
This isn’t the first time he’s shown animosity toward law enforcement, either; in June 2014, he sent threatening emails to municipal courts regarding traffic tickets that prompted warrants for his arrest.
