Construction of new Va. jail creates more than 100 jobs

SHENANDOAH VALLEY, Va. — It’s been years in the making.

“We’ve been talking about this since 2004, 2005,” said Sheriff Danny McEathron of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Now the Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Warren Regional Jail, overseen by Superintended Robert Mulligan, is almost complete.

“Every sheriff has an old jail and it’s not necessarily conducive for a safe work environment,” said McEathron.
