JESSUP, Md. — An inmate who scaled a perimeter fence covered with razor wire was recaptured hours later in the home of an acquaintance.
Inmate Larence Godfrey escaped by covering razor wire atop perimeter fences with blankets around 4:50 a.m., according to The Baltimore Sun; staff noted the blankets around 6:50 a.m. and initiated a prisoner count. At about 7:42 a.m., Godfrey was identified as missing.
He was recaptured at 8 p.m. by police who received an anonymous tip regarding Godfrey’s whereabouts.
