SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — Members of the Scott County Jail are being interviewed for a video that will be used for information and training purposes.
According to the QC Times, the video is to show how the concept of direct supervision works.
Under direct supervision, a correctional officer interacts with inmates in their assigned pod as a way to head off trouble before it starts.
Four jails were selected for the National Institute of Corrections video. The other jails selected are Olmsted County Jail in Rochester, Minn; Collin County Jail in McKinney, Texas; and Northampton COunty Jail in Easton, Pa.
