NEWPORT, Wash. — An escaped Washington inmate was reapprehended during a traffic stop.

Ryan Apling, being held on failure to appear for charges of trespassing and driving with a suspended license, climbed several fences topped with razor wire to escape from the jail’s inmate recreation yard, according to KXLY.

He was re-taken into custody without incident.
