LAWTON, Okla. — An inmate under the care of the GEO Group died on Saturday and the incident is currently under investigation.
KSWO reports that Matthew Morrow, 54, was found unconscious and not responding in his cell. GEO staff and EMS tried to revive Morrow but were unsuccessful.
Morrow’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City for autopsy.
Morrow had been incarcerated at the facility since 2000 and was serving time for burglary charges.
