LITTLE ROCK — Authorities in Lonoke County say they have recaptured an inmate who removed her pants and then fled from a doctor’s office where she had been brought for treatment.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says it started around 2:20 p.m. Sunday when 23-year-old Alicia Dawn Ballard was taken to Sherwood Urgent Care in Lonoke to be treated for a complaint of a medical problem.

Ballard’s shackles were removed at the office during the examination. According to a news release, she then “removed her pants” and “slammed the door in the Detention Officer’s face” before running to a nearby residence in only her T-shirt and underwear.
