Inmate uses other inmates, creates hole in fence to escape

Inmate found blind spot in camera system, shook fence until hole was created

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. — From the outside there doesn’t seem to be a way out of the Madison County Detention Center, unless you’re let out, but last Friday 24-year-old inmate, Roger Million, found a way. “Somehow or another he got in behind our camera system there,” stated Doug Thomas, the Jailer, “yeah, it was a blind spot.”

He continued that a couple of inmates seemed to help Million out, “We couldn’t see them, but we gather he got on top of their shoulders and got him high enough to where he could get a hold of the frame of the camera.” The camera that should’ve been spotting all of this was instead used as leverage for Million to get out.

“Above it is a chain link fence that covers the top of it,” described the Jailer, “he just beat and banged on it till it came loose.”
