LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An officer with Metro Corrections has resigned “for personal reasons” following an investigation into alleged “inappropriate conduct involving inmates.”
WDRB reports that Officer David Temple had been placed on administrative leave on Dec. 22 pending a criminal and administrative investigation into his conduct with inmates who were in the jail’s home incarceration program.
Temple was nearly fired in 2012 after an internal investigation found he had “sexually propositioned and harassed numerous jail employees,” creating an “intimidating, hostile, offensive environment.”
He was also accused of being untruthful during a sworn statement, and also of using medical staff to give him injections, though what kind of drugs is redacted.
