NEW YORK, NY — A city correction officer sicced Crips gangsters on an inmate to settle his beef with the prisoner, then laughed while watching the beatdown, claimed a lawsuit filed Monday.

Jermaine Lamb, 27, says the officer told the Crips to attack him on Oct. 19, 2012, in the Manhattan Detention Complex to get back at Lamb for an argument.

Lamb says he was knocked down with a cane and beaten, causing a broken jaw and a spinal injury. The Tombs jailer, Officer Glen Trammel, “just stood there, watching the attack and laughing,” the suit claims.

Lamb asked for $5 million in damages when he filed a notice of claim with the city last year. He was charged with attempted murder at the time.
