MEADVILLE — Police are looking for a man who tried to get into a Crawford County residence on Friday afternoon by impersonating a probation officer.
State police at Meadville said the man refused to show identification to a 23-year-old woman at the residence in the 18000 block of Route 6/19 in Woodcock Township. The man left when the woman closed and locked the door, police said.
He was described as a white male, 6 feet, 200 pounds, muscular, late 20s to early 30s with blue eyes and driving a black Ford pickup truck, police said.
