WASHINGTON — An Osceola County corrections officer accepted the Medal of Valor for her service.
Vice President Joe Biden presented the award to Officer Reeshemah Taylor as well as other public safety officers from across the country, according to CFNEWS.
In 2009, Taylor was confronted by a high-risk inmate who had taken another corrections officer hostage. She rushed into the cell and wrestled a gun away from the inmate.
