ORLANDO — The 59-year-old corrections officer who was found dead in parking lot at the Orange County Jail Thursday afternoon died of natural causes, an autopsy showed.
The woman, Pamela Mobley, was found about 2:30 p.m. in a secure employee parking lot at the jail. She was scheduled to work at 6 a.m. that morning but never made it inside the building.
According to Sheri Blanton, a spokeswoman for the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office, Mobley died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. That is characterized by heart problems caused by high blood pressure.
Mobley had two sons.
