N.H. inmates paint jail windows to protect public from their lewd behavior

Concord Monitor

The windows at the Strafford County jail will be painted over to protect the public from witnessing lewd behavior by inmates.

Officials had considered installing tinted windows after a parent complained that his toddler daughter saw an inmate exposing himself. The girl was across the street from the jail, adopting a kitten from the Cocheco Valley Humane Society in Dover.

The New Hampshire Sunday News said rather than spending $3,400 per window to tint them, the county will use inmates to paint the windows at no cost to taxpayers.
