CLINTON TWP. — A fire that broke out at a barn at the Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility didn’t injure anyone, cow or staff alike.

The blaze started around 6:54 p.m. on April 15 inside one of two barns used for hay storage, according to NJ.com. The farm is a rehabilitation effort for inmates, but is run by a manager who works for the Department of Corrections.

Products produced at the farm are used all over the state at developmental facilities, veterans’ homes and for inmates. Cows are the only animal at the farm.

There are no reports yet of what caused the fire.
