Officer fired, others on leave after inmate takedown

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Four Knox County corrections officers have been disciplined for violating the department's use-of-force policy at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
The action stems from a November 28 incident at the county jail involving an inmate identified as 52-year-old Louis Flack of Knoxville. Flack was charged with aggravated assault.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office reports one officer was fired, one has resigned, and two others have been put on administrative leave without pay.
