PENSACOLA, Fla. — Officials say an inmate was found dead in the Escambia County Jail.
The Pensacola News Journal reports a 53-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell on Wednesday and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The case is being investigated by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. The man’s name has not been released.
No further details were immediately available.
