LANCASTER, Pa. — Lancaster police said a 45-year-old man who they said jumped from an upper tier cell block at Lancaster County Prison on Wednesday morning has died.
At 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Lancaster police were called to the prison for an inmate who fell about 13 feet.
Matthew McNamara, of Delaware County, was taken in an ambulance to Lancaster General Hospital, where he died Sunday afternoon, police said.
He had been at the prison since July 14 on charges related to a fatal crash that happened on July 13 in Caernarvon Township.
