MIAMI-DADE, Fla. — A recently retired corrections officer out kayaking with friends was found floating face up in the water not far from the county line.
According to Keys Info Net, the group lost sight of Michael Frosceno and one doubled back to find him in the water.
They quickly got him out with the help of a two-passenger skiff. CPR was performed until EMS arrived, where Frosceno was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. Frosceno had recently had a kidney transplant.
