COBB COUNTY, Ga. — An inmate who was released early this month has found himself back behind bars after authorities caught him with jail property.

AJC reports that Christopher Estes decided he liked the shirt that he wore as an inmate at the Cobb County jail – liked it so much, that he took it with him upon his release.

Estes said he took the shirt because the one he was initially arrested with was dirty and moldy.

When authorities spotted him wearing the shirt intended only for inmates, Estes was re-arrested and charged with theft.

According to the Georgia DOC, Estes has served five times in state prisons following numerous drug convictions for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine.
