HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Dozens of children lined up inside the Harris County Jail to pay Christmas Eve visits to their parents. But it’s what they found outside that was a special surprise.
“I’d seen Santa outside and she was like wow,” said Pam Mayfield, a guardian to some of the kids.
Outside the jail were gifts stacked ready to greet children whose parents won’t be home for Christmas.
