Texas deputies, corrections officer on leave after sexual assault

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — Authorities are investigating allegations of sexual assault at a Williamson County gathering that included three sheriff’s deputies and a corrections officer.

Williamson County sheriff’s Capt. Mike Gleason says the employees are on paid administrative leave after someone reported a sexual assault over the weekend. Gleason said one of employees was accused of being involved.

The Austin American-Statesman reports the investigation has been turned over to the Texas Rangers.
