1 Fla. inmate at large, 1 in custody after work release escape

Sixto Martinez-Rodriguez, 25, is wanted on charges of escape; Claudio Poillot turned himself in Tuesday night

Osceola County deputies are searching for a work-release inmate who did not show up at his designated job site Tuesday morning.

Sixto Martinez-Rodriguez, 25, is wanted on charges of escape. Another inmate, Claudio Poillot, 38, also was missing but turned himself in Tuesday night, authorities said.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said Poillot and Martinez-Rodriguez left the Kissimmee Work Release Center on Michigan Avenue early Tuesday to walk to a construction business on East Carroll Street where they work.

At 6:50 a.m., the owner of the construction business called the Department of Corrections and told them Poillot and Martinez-Rodriguez did not report to work.

Martinez-Rodriguez is about 5-foot-7-inches, weighs 209 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. His previous arrests include grand theft, burglary and drug charges.
Poillot’s prior arrests include burglary, aggravated battery and cocaine possession.
